In September 2002, the Somerset Record Office embarked
on a Heritage Lottery funded project to catalogue and preserve the regimental papers
of the Somerset Light Infantry. Included within this collection are over 1800 photographs
and photograph albums of the regiment, which provide a pictorial history from the 1860s
through to the present day. As part of the original project all these photographs were catalogued,

| A Database of Names | If you are a member of the Friends, you will be able to access,
via your password, our database of names of members of the Somerset Light Infantry, along with
rank and other details. Listed also are the reference numbers referring to each individual.
This database currently contains over 1000 records, but there will be many more in the months to come,
